November 12, 2009
“Moore Than Food”, a new radio cooking show, is set to hit the airwaves on 2GB 873, from 7pm Tuesday 10th November 2009. Presented by Celebrity Chef Michael Moore, chef/owner of the Summit Restaurant and radio and television personality Glenn Wheeler, “Moore Than Food” promises to tantalise the taste buds, stir the senses, educate and entertain you.
Michael Moore brings two decades of international experience in acclaimed restaurants such as opening London’s Sir Terence Conran’s Bluebird Gastrodome, and successful stints at top Sydney establishments Wildfire, Bennelong and Pruniers.
The recipient of a string of Chef’s hats from The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, Michael is also known throughout Australia for his weekly TV cooking segments on Mornings with Kerri-Anne, regular radio spots and celebrity cooking appearances.
“In a radio first, we’ve established an emergency chef’s hotline for listeners who need help with anything from; dinner tonight, a party on the weekend, or just how to get the perfect pork crackling! And if I need to call in a favour from an expert I’ll be calling on some of my mates from leading restaurants around town. Whether listeners are on their way home or already at home, we will be their food & wine search engine”, say’s Moore.
The program is intended to be very listener interactive with email and open line calls providing the listeners with every opportunity to be involved.
“As the name suggests it will be more than just food. We’ll also talk about wine and restaurants, what’s on in town, as well as dropping into listeners’ kitchens to find out what they’re cooking and possibly offer a few creative tips” says Wheeler.
Tune in for what is to set to inspire and empower the at home chef!
“Moore Than Food” presented by Celebrity Chef Michael Moore & Glenn Wheeler – Tuesday nights 7pm-8pm 2GB 873.
