mark-walkingDon’t just sit around on the couch this Boxing Day, instead wrap up, pull on your boots, and prepare to blow away the cobwebs surrounded by beautiful countryside and like-minded people at Britain’s biggest walking event: the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks with Nature Valley. The Festival is supported by TV Presenter Ben Fogle.

For ten days between Boxing Day and January 3rd, hundreds of walks will be taking place around the country that are free, fun, open to absolutely anyone and everyone of all levels. All are led by experienced Ramblers walks leaders, so you’re bound the perfect walk near you.

Walks include:
• 300+ walks under 5 miles
• Cake walks, tipsy toddles and Christmas tradition
• Walks in every nook and cranny of the country
• Delicious Nature Valley snack bars*

TV presenter and keen walker himself, Ben Fogle, is supporting the Festival and is keen to encourage people all over the UK to get outdoors and enjoy the nature around them. Ben comments; “Walking is a perfect way to escape and unwind after a hectic Christmas, and a stroll in the crisp winter air is a perfect way to kick away those Christmas calories.

“With so many wonderful routes all around the country, it really is the ideal time to explore the beautiful winter landscape. We’re urging everyone in Britain, whatever their age, stage or level of walking, to get out and join in the Festival of Winter Walks.”
* Free Nature Valley Snack Bars will be handed out on many of the walks
