The UK’s capital – London was voted the least friendly city – followed by Birmingham and Glasgow.

Respondents were also asked in which UK city will you hear a ‘sexy’ accent and topping the polls once again was Edinburgh, followed by Newcastle in second place and Belfast wining third place. (Peterborough, Gloucester and Coventry was voted for having the least ‘sexiest’ accent)

The report also tested respondents’ knowledge of UK cities and findings revealed nine out of ten Brits don’t know how many cities their country has. (The answer being 66 official cities)

Just over a third (34%) of respondents could identify the official definition of a city. (The answer being – A town that has been granted city status by the British monarch)

Seventy eight per cent of Brits think it’s important to visit different cities in order to get a better understanding of the United Kingdom.
