Theatre: Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ Celebrates 10 Triumphant Years In London This October

On 19th October 2009, Disney’s THE LION KING will celebrate its tenth anniversary at London’s Lyceum Theatre. This multi award-winning musical now ranks among the top ten longest-running shows in West End history.
In the decade since its star-studded West End premiere, Disney’s THE LION KING has played over 4,000 performances and welcomed more than 8 million guests from the UK and around the world. Today the show remains one of the most sought-after tickets in the West End – as well as one of London’s most popular attractions – demonstrated by First Lady Michelle Obama’s recent trip to the see the production as one of the highlights of her summer visit to London.

THE LION KING has now been seen by almost 50 million people across 5 continents. In addition to the record-breaking productions in London and New York, THE LION KING can currently be seen in Paris, Tokyo, Hamburg, Las Vegas and on tours of both the US and Japan.
