Wine: Errazuriz Double Trophy Triumph At The IWSC

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) belonged to Viña Errazuriz this year as the 138-year-old Chilean wine producer walked off with two of the top Chilean Trophies, collecting the prestigious IWSC Trophy for Chilean Wine Producer, as well as receiving the IWSC Trophy for Carmenère.
Said Patrick McGrath MW, Managing Director of Hatch Mansfield, the sole UK agent for Viña Errazuriz,
“These trophies are a reflection of the ongoing outstanding work in the vineyards and the winery at Viña Errazuriz. With quality as the constant watchword, the standard of wines from top to bottom of the range offer exceptional character and value. New vineyard areas are being brought on stream to ensure that the future is equally exciting and we look forward to maintaining the position of Errazuriz as the premium Chilean brand in the UK market.”
The IWSC Trophy for Chilean Wine Producer was awarded to Viña Errazuriz for ‘the highest overall performance nationally’. The shortlist included many of the top Chilean producers, including Viña Cono Sur, Viña Concha Y Toro, Viños Emiliana, Viu Manent Y Cia and Viña Tabali. Describing the importance of the Errazuriz estate in the history of the Chilean wine industry, the official IWSC commendation concluded,
