In further news from The BPI, The BRITs Voting Academy website, a new addition for 2009, has been hailed as an outstanding success making the voting process seamless. Outside Line have produced the brand new BRITs.co.uk site going live on Friday 12th December.

Featuring a range of exclusive content brits.co.uk also features an innovative social networking widget allowing you to keep up to date with all BRITs news and site content.

In the lead up to the event, brits.co.uk will host a series of video podcasts featuring exclusive artist interviews, as well as an in depth look at the nominees and the chance to glimpse behind the scenes to see what and who makes the awards come together.

Visitors to the site will also be able to watch some of the most memorable moments from previous awards, from outrageous acceptance speeches to the unforgettable outfits. BRITs.co.uk will be on site at both the Launch and the show itself to bring users exclusive interviews, pictures and news as it happens.

For the first time in BRITs history users will be able to download an exclusive BRITs widget. The downloadable application can be embedded to you desktop or your favourite social networking site (e.g. Facebook, MySpace). As with 2008 the site will be the voting hub for Best British Single, Best British Live Act and Best British Newcomer.
