January 6, 2009

Florence and the Machine is the recording name of South London’s Florence Welch, she creates soul tinged indie and has been at the eye of an A&R storm since releasing her first single ‘Kiss With A Fist’ back in June. Having caught the music industry’s attention at South by South West festival, Florence and the Machine reigned supreme during the festival season. The debut album is out on Island Records in 2009.

Hailed as the future of British pop by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, Little Boots is the musical alter ego of Victoria Hesketh. Influenced by Elton John and The Bee Gees, Little Boots learnt to play the piano at the age of five and started to write songs at the age 12 before studying Classical Music, Little Boots makes effervescent synth pop.

Epic rockers White Lies from West London performed their first ever gig on 27th February 2008, attended by a host of A&R executives. They went on to headline the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May before embarking on the festival circuit. The band made their debut television performance on Later with Jools Holland in May.
